Project 52 – Spotlight (15/52) | Central Coast Pet Photographer

Beautiful Beasties is an international network of professional pet photographers, of which I am very privileged to be a part of. Within the network a group was formed for photographers who wanted to participate in a project, a 52 week project. Each week a theme is chosen and posted, then we all go out and take a photograph or series of photographs to fit the theme, then we all post onto our own websites and form a ring by linking all the websites. That means you can look at my images and then follow the links all over the world to see what other pet photographers are capturing.

Week 15’s theme of ‘Spotlight’ was chosen by Tara Lynn from Raleigh, North Carolina, USA and her brief to us was – ” let’s do SPOTLIGHT!

Try to use light to direct the focus of your photo.  Like “leading lines,” think “leading light.”

Well, with a very busy week here, Aimilee was accepted into a trial with the Central Coast Elite Gymnastics Academy and it being the last week of the school term, time really got away from me!

I had some very grand plans for this theme that included a darkened studio with a black backdrop and a single studio light…..but that was not to be….instead you get Skarla at 10pm in the kids cubby-house with me holding a camping head-lamp :)

Lucky for me Skarla is a very co-operative Girl!

Now lets go and follow the links, starting with – Blue Amrich’s Dog Sports Photography in Massachusetts and see what the rest of the photographers in our blog ring have come up with this week.

  1. I think we are all familiar with how plans can turn out to be, umm, not… This is very nicely done – if you hadn’t told us I never would have guessed that it was thrown together like that.
