1400+ Horsepower barely contained inside a 1968 Holden HK Ute.
Anyone who has followed my blog or knows me personally, will know that building and racing drag cars is my Hubby’s passion, so last weekend we had a Family day at Sydney Dragway for an ANDRA Test & Tune Day – now playing team photographer, pit crew and Mum to the kids – made for quite a busy day for me and I have to admit I was exhausted on the way home!!
We had a slow start to our day where a few things went a bit pear shaped – but that’s racing for you! Once we settled down to the real business of racing all the trouble was worth it with a few great passes from the car – all be it a little slower than normal – traction problems apparently….but still great photography oppertunities for me!
And while I was waiting for our turn there was plenty of time for a few shots of some of the other cars and bikes racing too…
And then all too quickly the last pass was run, the staging lanes were closed and the sun was setting on a great family, methanol fuelled speed day! But as the sun set and the trailer was being packed there was just time for a few ‘glamour’ shots of the car…
I hope you all enjoyed our day at the track, see you all soon.
