Sunday the 12th october, was a stunning spring day and I got to spend it in one of my favourite ways – Photographing horses!
I was back at IllCadore for the Central Coast Regional Appaloosa Club’s show, it was a great turnout, all the hoses looked fabulous, you could defiantly tell spring was in the air….a few horses were not on their best behaviour! But they mostly made up for their shenanigans.

Some of my favourite images from the day…
Congratulations to the CCRAC Committee for another awesome show, and a huge congratulations to all the competitors and their horses. See you all next month.
The little chicks are growing faster than can be believed! Here is a very quick photo update for you all these pictures were taken at 17 days old…today they are 24 days old and even bigger again, what I have noticed is if they are awake they are eating – no wonder they grow so fast. They are all getting cheeky, their individual personalities are shining thorough and we are still waiting to see how many roosters v’s hens we end up with.
There are 10 chicks – “Snowy” missed having her picture taken – I suspect she had been smuggled off to a kids bedroom for snuggle time!
I hope you enjoy seeing how big the chicks are getting S xo
The first weekend in october was the show date for the Central Coast Quarter Horse Association, it was also a long weekend, so while the weather was perfect the competitor numbers were down a bit, but that didn’t stop me capturing some great images and getting some extra horse cuddle time!
The full gallery can be found at THIS LINK, but here are a few of my favourites from the day…..
Now, I am off for a rest before getting back to editing some recent portrait sessions, I will leave you with a set of “Impy” which clearly shows how I feel at the end of a great day at a horse show…
Catch you all soon S xo
